GetLight is a sunrise and sunset app published by Briggs Road LLC ("we", "us"). We designed GetLight to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what the app accesses and what we do, and do not, do with it.
The short version
We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. GetLight has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us or to any server we operate.
Location
With your permission, GetLight uses your device location to calculate local sunrise and sunset times and to display a nearby place name. This happens as follows:
- Location access is requested only while you are using the app ("When In Use"). You can deny or revoke it at any time in the iOS Settings app.
- Your coordinates are used on your device to compute sun times.
- To turn coordinates into a readable place name, the app uses Apple's built-in geocoding service. This is handled by the operating system and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- The most recent place name and coordinates are cached locally on your device so the app can show a location without re-requesting it. This data never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the app.
We never receive your location. It is not transmitted to Briggs Road LLC and is not used to identify or track you.
Data we collect
None. We do not operate servers that receive your data, and the app contains no analytics or advertising software development kits.
Children
GetLight does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised version at this URL.
